Sommelier is a specialized catering professional who manages the wine cellar and at the same time is responsible for the promotion of wines, depending on the dishes ordered at a table.

The aim of the program is to acquaint students with varieties and wines of Greek and International origin, to learn to compose - suggesting dishes and creating wine lists according to the pattern and type of the store assigned to them. The curriculum includes theory and a workshop.

Target audience

The curriculum is suitable for professionals - hotel employees (Hotel Manager, Maître, Servitors) wholesaler retailers, who require basic knowledge of products in order to achieve a better quality in customer service. It also addresses consumers and wine lovers who want to deepen their knowledge of the world of wine.

Degree-Certificate Sommelier

All of  our graduates receive after examinations, a Lifelong Learning Centre Certificate of Study  which is also recognised abroad in two languages, Greek and English
