Cooking competition DETROP 2019


7 medals in 8 participations were conquered by the students of the tourist school Anko of the Dodecanese at the International Detrop cooking competition in Thessaloniki!
 
The people of Rhoeds excelled once again, proving the high gastronomic level of our chefs, contestants among 8 countries Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Serbia, Latvia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Taiwan.
87.5% Success! The team of Anko won 7 medals in all 8 nominations!
 
-Geralnt Katsoureli, silver medal, in "Traditional Greek dish"
-Ioannis Mariakis, bronze medal in the category "Lamb"
-Eleftherios Mastis, bronze medal, in the category "Restaurant Dessert"
-George Raftopoulos – Raftoglou, bronze medal at "Vegetarian dish"
-Zaferoula Kompisti, bronze medal in the category "Pork"
-Alma Meco, bronze medal in the "salad" category.
-Anko was the 3rd school among schools from 8 countries in the category Best School of the Year with Bronze Medal, in the group competition for the creation of a three course menu with students Manolis Fountouradaki, Panagiotis Dimitriou, Zafeiroula Komisti.

The teachers of our school and excellent chef Troumouchis Georgios, Stavros Manousakis, Dimitris Kontaratos and the pastry chef Lazaros Hadjisavvas, Costas Savvis, are instrumental in the success. The teachers supported and encouraged the students, both in the great coaching process and during the competition.
 
The contestants have shown that courage, boldness and courage are key components to do something different and face challenges. Throughout the entire experience of the competition, the students worked with teamwork and collaboration in mind.
