2nd Cooking Contest in Massari of Rhodes

The Women's Association "Massarenes" on Sunday 18 March held the 2nd Culinary competition in collaboration with the tourist school Anko in the square of the village Massari. In the competition competed a total of 40 dishes in the categories cold dish, main meal and dessert, all cooked with taste by the women of the village. The judges of the competition consisted of excellent teachers and chefs of the school, Mr. Troymoychis, K. Manousakis, K. Ftaklas, K. The general manager of the Hotel Atrium K. Matsigkos, the manager of the Hotel Alila Mr. Tsoykalas, the pastry Chef Savvis and Hadjisavvas while the president of the club of the Dodecanese and Cyclades chef Mr. Christoforou Nikos and Vice President Mr. Tzitzos Epaminondas honored their presence. The first prize for the category Cold dish was awarded the dish "Salad with Octopus" with the winner of Mrs Eleni Koskiniati, for the category mainly lunch was named "Grouper Fricassee" with Mrs. Maria Mpafiti, while in the dessert stood out the "Semolina halva" from the Mrs. Seva Balogianis.

he event took place in the square of the village with live music from the band of Antonis Mpafiti along with the violin of Stefanos Tharenou and the dance group of the Cultural Association. While a communication sponsor was radio Archangel with the presenter and Eleonora Donta. Many people who attended tasted all the culinary creations that participated in the competition and enjoyed dancing. The event was offered to the audience by the pastry chef, Meras Vassilis and Savvis Kostas and the chef Morfino Vangelis with their students, who curated the pastry and cooking departments. Also, the delicacies offered to the judges and the world were curated by the students of Hotel Management under the guidance of Professor and Maitre Mr. Chatzimarkos Kostas. We thank all those who participated in organizing and conducting the event.
