Michalis Katrinakis
EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF
He is passionate about his work as a confectioner. He started in Crete, worked in Europe and today creates for the elite clients of the leading hotels of Rhodes Michalis Katrinakis offers his knowledge and experience to the students of our school.
Michalis Katrinakis was born in Neapolis, Crete. From his childhood he got to know the world of intense flavors and combinations. Growing up, his love for gastronomy led him to study pastry making and earned his position in major hotel units in Crete such as Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas and St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas.
Like a true professional, he accepted all challenges and his next stop was Rhodes where he started at Atlantica Imperial Resort & Spa and then as Pastry Chef at Esperos Palace Resort. Additionally, he has worked abroad, specifically in the country that honors confectionery like no other, Austria, in luxury hotels, most importantly the Interalpen Hotel Tyrol with a restaurant that has been distinguished by the famous Gault&Millau culinary guide.
He has attended numerous seminars and also won first place in the 6th Mediterranean cooking competition, in the dessert category.
Today Michalis has settled permanently in Rhodes and provides his valuable services as Executive Pastry Chef in a large luxury 5-star hotel, Amada Colossos Resort and Rodos Park Suites & Spa from 2018 until today. At the same time, she is a new member of the teaching team of the Anko educational group in the department of Confectionery and Baking.
